On this site you'll find pages about various gifts for adults and children these are the gifts that we believe will be big sellers in the coming months. You'll see that most pages have a couple of links one will be to Amazon and the other is eBay. We have chosen these two suppliers for a couple of simple reasons.

1. Amazon are reliable they hold massive stocks of items and they deliver on time.

2. eBay sellers are generally reliable and they want to help (as well as make some money!) If you stick to the guidelines you will not have a problem. There are 3 simple rules to observe, Buy from people with good feedback, email them to make sure they reply quickly, pay by credit card or paypal. Many people buy 2 or 3 items when they go shopping to help offset the cost. you may pay more closer to christmas but you are guaranteed to be able to buy the gifts you want.

We have used different suppliers in the past but they often have delivery problems or low stock levels to start with. Plus in the current climate we wanted to ensure the suppliers would still be around at christmas!

Bakugan Starter Pack

One toy which is going to feature at the top on the 2008 best selling Christmas toy lists will be the Bakugan Battle Brawlers.  To help your child get started with learning how to play this game there are Bakugan Starter Packs you can purchase.

Each of these starter packs give your child the chance to answer the call to brawl and so save the galaxy as the characters in the anime show do.  Each pack contains special marbles which house a magnet inside and which when they pop open reveal a Bakugan action figure.  Along with the marbles there are metal gate cards and which are needed as it is these which allow the Bakugan’s to appear out of the marbles.

To allow the figures to appear from within the marbles it takes more than the child just rolling the marbles towards the cards and hoping that they land on the metal gate ones.  In fact they need to spend time looking closely and precisely aiming the marbles towards the cards.  What makes this toy so enjoyable is that the outcome of each battle that your child undertakes will differ from one to the next.  Also they have the choice where they can either play on their own or with their friends.  If you want to further enhance your child’s chances of actually hitting the right card first time then buying the Bakugan launcher should be considered.

There are several different starter packs available all of which are color coded and which vary in style from one pack to the next.  The different color packs available are Red, Green, Blue, Purple, Gray and Black and each of them contains a number of different Bakugan’s within.  The kinds of characters you are likely to find in each of the packs you purchase are Apollonir, Frosch, Clayf, Oberus, Lars Lion, Dragonoid and Excedra. 

Along with the three of the marbles which transform into the Bakugan each starter pack also has 3 metal gate cards as well.  Plus there are also 3 other cards a normal one, a character one and command card which if a child wants can exchange for others with their friends.  However, if you order your pack online you may not always get the colored pack you were after.

Bakugan

This Christmas there are going to be plenty of parents around whose children are going to be asking them for Bakugan games.    This is quickly becoming the fastest selling toy in 2008.  If you aren’t careful you may find that your children become disappointed at Christmas because you weren’t able to get them what they wanted.

The toys you can now purchase are based around the television show called Bakugan Battle Brawlers.  This Japanese anime show is aired on a number of different channels including the likes of Cartoon Network.  The children in the show play this game by throwing down cards and then spheres (marbles) on to them which allow the creatures inside to be released.

The toys designed by Sega work on the same principle as that of the show and so it allows a child to play exactly in the same way as they see it played on the TV.  Unlike other games which are going to be on a child’s wish list this Christmas the Bakugan games are relatively inexpensive to buy.  You have the choice of either buying them singularly or in packs.

Along with the spheres and cards there are other items that your child may include on their wish list as well.  Below we take a look at the various things that your child may ask Santa for this Christmas when it comes to Bakugan.

1.  Bakugan Starter Park – This contains everything your child will need to first get them involved in this fun game.   Although they come in a variety of different colors each starter pack contains three ability cards, three metallic gate cards and three creature marbles.

2. Bakugan Battle Packs – These packs are ideal for those children who are wanting to start competing with their friends.  Each one of these again come in different colors have 6 of the Bakugan marbles in them along with 6 ability and 6 metallic gate cards.

3. Bakugan Booster Packs – Of all the packs you can purchase these are the least expensive of all but only contain one of the Bakugan action figures along with a metallic gate card.

4. B Bakugan Arena – The more involved a child becomes with this particular game then you may find that they would like to set theirs up in the tournament arena.  It measures 4 ft square and offers them the perfect playing surface on to which they can roll the Bakugan marbles.  It also allows them the chance to play against three of their friends if they wish.

5. Bakugan Launcher – Although throwing the Bakugan marbles is fun having the launcher provides them to launch them more accurately.  The launcher requires no batteries because it is the spring action which does all the work and it can be attached to the hand or just placed on the surface where the tournament has been set up.

This particular toy produced by Fisher Price is based on the lovable red monster from the Sesame Street programs.  In fact if you aren’t careful and don’t make your purchase quickly enough you may find it difficult to get one in the future.

This is much more than a toy that just tells jokes and sings songs.  The design of this particular toy allows it to do so much more it can dance, it can sit down, and it can stand, wave its arms and cross it legs.  Plus if he should ever happen to fall over whilst being placed with and the child puts him upright he thanks them.

Certainly the people who designed this toy which children of a young age will find easy to interact with have done a superb job.  It has taken quite a lot of time and money to produce such a life like animated toy .  When it comes to the animatronics movements they are shown to their best when he tells the child a story.  Not only does he sit he will stand and flail his arms about and his mouth opens and closes as the story is being told.  However, the only thing bad I can say against this is that there are only two stories he is able to tell them.

To run the toy you will need six AA batteries which are inserted into its back which come as part of the package when purchased.  Then in order to activate it all a child needs to do is tickle or squeeze the toys foot, tummy, nose or back.  However, because of all the mechanics inside this toy does weigh slightly more than other toys so it isn’t something your child will be able to carry around easily.

Because your child may choose to play with this toy quite a lot once they have it.  It may be worth your while investing in some rechargeable batteries and the unit to recharge them.  However, should your child stop playing with it and forget to turn it off then it automatically goes to sleep so power in the batteries will be saved.

Although some parents may find the price tag a little too hefty around $60.  If you don’t buy him now then by the time Christmas arrives you can end up spending considerably more purchasing him on eBay because your local retailer has none left.

Amazon Kindle - Where will you buy your Kindle?

Speculation is growing that one of oprahs favorites this year will be the Amazon Kindle. This follow her talking about it as her favorite piece of technology.

 For those of you who don't know the kindle is an electronic book reader which allows you to download books, magazines and newspapers via wireless. You never have to find a hotspot to download books or papers as the Kindle uses a network similar to cell phones.

You can also use it to listen to audio books. Depending on the memory size you can store hundreds of books in a device no larger than a paperback book and weighing only 10 ounces. The kindle will make an excellent gift you anyone who like reading especially if they are a gadget freak or like technology.

Where to Find a Kindle

Unfortunatly you might have a hard time finding a kindle in the run up to christmas. Since Oprah featured it the sales have increased 5 fold. If you look at amazon now you will see there is a 2 to 3 week wait. Once they are in stcok they will sell out quickly. This gives you a choice, order now and wait for delivery and hope you get it before christmas, amazon are usually very good with their deliveries Or buy one today on ebay. You'll find hundreds of listed for sale many are new .
